CRAFTING NEW HEIRLOOMS
Recycling Your Gold
To help reduce our environmental impact, we're encouraging the use of our Hogans gold recycling program. Your unwanted or unworn jewellery can be transformed into a stunning new Hogans heirloom, exchanged for a cash payment, or credited against your Hogans account. Start your gold recycling journey here with Hogans.
STEP 1
Bring your gold into our showroom where our jewellers will assess the condition of the gold content and metal content.
STEP 2
Once we have sorted your gold into individual metal types our jewellers will weigh the gold you're wishing to recycle and calculate the value while you wait.
Step 3
Once our jewellers have calculated the gold's value and a quote has been provided and accepted, our team will provide you with a cash payment or a credit which can be used in-store towards future repairs or even a new piece from our ready-to-wear collection.
Step 3
Alternatively, you can use the recycled gold towards a new bespoke piece designed by our one of our jewellers. If this is the case, our team will assist you in booking a design consultation. This is obligation-free and there are no charges involved.
FAQ
Our jewellers will closely examine and test each of your pieces on-site to determine their gold percentage and karat weight before we use the current market rate for gold to provide you with a credit amount.
From here, you may decide to proceed with exchanging the pieces for the monetary credit or have them melted down to design and craft an entirely new piece.
We accept 9k, 10k, 14k and 18k white, yellow or rose gold alloys as well as 22k gold or 24k pure gold, regardless of the condition.
Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting sterling silver but can purchase silver ingots.
A technical refining and re-alloying process is used to ensure that your new gold piece is manufactured using material of the highest standard. Your new piece will be accompanied by the Hogans product guarantee of a lifetime warranty.
We accept 9k, 14k, 18k and 24k white, yellow or rose gold, regardless of whether they are broken. Our jewellers will inspect the jewellery to ensure it's karat weight, and will ensure that it's condition isn't too brittle.
If your gold has been passed down to you and holds sentimental value, you may choose to use it towards a new Hogans piece, such as solid bangles or an intricately designed ring, pendant, or pair of earrings. If you wish to do so, please speak with our team to book a design consultation with one of our jewellers.
